PeopleSoft Community Network
Hi,
I've started to manage/support a PeopleSoft database on SQL Server. A previous DBA looks to have run the tuning advisor and created a number of indexes and I now suspect the workload/queries have changes thus causing inefficent execction plans to be created.
For reference, is there a script to create the db schema so that i know what indexes are provided with the base PeopleSoft db?
Thanks

Yes, as part of the PeopleSoft installation process there are steps that relate to running scripts on SQL Server that include building records and indexes.
For your reference, here's the link to the installation guides by DB platform for PeopleTools 8.50
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15742_01/psft/html/docset.html
(Adjust accordingly to match your PeopleTools version).
Specifically, to start your search, take a look in your PeopleSoft home folder under scripts/
One other thing you can do if these indexes were added by scripts (e.g. outside of App Designer) is that in App Designer create a project called ALL_RECORDS, insert definitions into project, search for all records (blank search), select all of them and put them into this project (takes a while). Then perform a build of indexes only to a script file to get a script of all indexes (also takes a while).
Thanks Alott for sharing this information.
